The University of Indonesia has 12 faculties and a graduate program with more than 2,500 faculty members and 29,500 students. Students from various countries have come to study at UI. In 1997, the university transferred to Depok, located in the Southern border of Jakarta and West Java. (from August to January and from February to July). Bahasa Indonesia is the official language of instruction, but some courses are taught in English.
