Chain of Centers (COC) Meeting

The Chain of Centers (COC) Meeting, held on 15 April 2025 via Zoom, convened representatives of Southeast Asian and ASEAN studies research centers to discuss the continued development and strengthening of regional institutional collaboration under SEASREP’s initiatives. The session opened with an introduction to SEASREP and an overview of the COC’s background and objectives, highlighting its pioneering effort to provide institutional grants aimed at fostering cooperation among research centers. The discussion addressed strategies for sustaining networks, building synergies, and enhancing research visibility across centers through mechanisms such as an online directory, seminar grants, and joint publications. Participants also reflected on the long-term sustainability of the COC and proposed avenues for continued engagement through collaborative projects, online meetings, and co-publications. The meeting underscored the importance of maintaining active dialogue and shared activities to advance Southeast Asian Studies as a collective regional endeavor.
